Tour Plan
Expand allCollapse allDay 1: Nanyuki – Mount Ololokwe – Summit Camp
07:00 AM – Pick up from your hotel in Nanyuki and depart for Mount Ololokwe via Isiolo and Archer's Post.
10:30 AM – Arrive at Sabache Village, meet the local Samburu guide, complete registration, and receive a hike briefing.
11:00 AM – Begin the ascent through acacia woodland, rocky sections, and forested trails.
01:00 PM – Stop for a packed picnic lunch along the trail.
03:00 PM – Reach the summit plateau and enjoy spectacular views of the Matthews Range, Samburu plains, Buffalo Springs, and the surrounding landscapes.
04:00 PM – Set up camp at the designated summit campsite.
Spend the afternoon relaxing, exploring the summit, taking photographs, or enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
06:30 PM – Watch the sunset over Northern Kenya.
07:30 PM – Freshly prepared dinner at camp.
Overnight: Camping on the summit of Mount Ololokwe.
Day 2: Sunrise – Descent – Return to Nanyuki
05:45 AM – Wake up for sunrise.
Watch the first light illuminate the Samburu landscape—one of the highlights of the entire trip.
07:00 AM – Breakfast at the summit.
08:00 AM – Break camp and begin descending.
11:00 AM – Arrive back at the base.
11:30 AM – Refresh and enjoy an early lunch.
12:30 PM – Depart for Nanyuki.
04:00 PM – Arrive back at your hotel in Nanyuki.
