About This Tour
Mount Ololokwe (also known as Ol Donyo Sabache) is one of Kenya's most spectacular table mountains, located in Samburu County, approximately 350 km north of Nairobi. The hike is moderately challenging, taking about 3–4 hours to reach the summit, with breathtaking views over the Samburu plains and the Matthews Range.

Tour Plan
Expand allCollapse allDay 1: Nairobi – Nanyuki – Mount Ololokwe Base Camp
05:00 AM – Pick up from your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) and depart Nairobi.
08:00 AM – Stop in Nanyuki for breakfast and a short visit to the Equator.
09:00 AM – Continue through Isiolo and Archer's Post towards Mount Ololokwe.
01:30 PM – Arrive at the base camp near Sabache Village.
02:00 PM – Lunch and check in at the campsite.
03:30 PM – Relax, explore the surrounding area, or interact with the local Samburu community.
06:30 PM – Dinner around the campfire.
Overnight: Camping at the base of Mount Ololokw
Day 2: Summit Hike – Return to Nairobi
03:00 AM – Wake-up call with tea or coffee.
03:10 AM – Begin the hike to the summit using headlamps.
06:30 AM – Arrive at the summit in time for sunrise.
